About Woodhouse Dojo

Sheffield Woodhouse Dojo is a bit of a family affair in that it is run by Husband & Wife team, Sensei’s Terry & Michelle Noble. Many of the students are also related to one another in some way, creating a good, friendly, atmosphere within the club.

The club trains children from 7yrs upwards and has a good mix of grades training within, from beginner to Black Belt.

Due to the clubs success in retaining students we have introduced an over 16's & Adult class (for the older members).

Goju-ryu is a traditional karate style and the club focuses on the teaching of Kata ( a combination of defence moves against imaginary attackers) from which self defence moves can be taken. We also practice sparring under the strict supervision of the instructors. Safety is always at the forefront of the instructors minds, all instructors are CRB checked and have attended Child Protection Workshops. Sensei Terry is also an Accredited First Aider.

Sensei Terry Noble 4th Dan

Sensei Michelle Noble 3rd Dan

Was eventually persuaded by her husband to give it a go and hasn’t looked back since. Assists with teaching and administration for the club and has been training in Goju-ryu for almost 15 years.

Sensei Richard Dixon 3rd Dan
